You know, for the longest time I’ve refused to write in this blog. I didn’t feel like I should say anything as I was busy wrestling with unpredictable symptoms and fatigue.
Still managed to fly out to New York to hang out with my husband…but spent most of my time in bed. Bummer.
One of the other problems I have with using Wordpress is that I generally have to write the post in Word (don’t trust my spelling or grammar!), move it over to Notepad to strip it of any coding and then post it in Wordpress.
And if I want to post any links or pictures I have to wait until I’ve already got it into Wordpress before I can do that (just remembered that) so of course there is always last minute editing!
Not exactly as organic as writing an email and hitting “send”, is it? I’ve still managed to send emails, pissing off kids, relatives and real estate agents with abandon, but no posts even though I have LOTS to say.
I’m curious. How do you write your posts? I’ve been looking but can’t find a whole lot of info on it…so I figured I’d just ask. What flow works best for you?

The way I’ve done it thus far, including previous blog-like things.. Is just think. I’ll get ideas throughout the day while I’m doing countless other things [ You have no idea how many wonky weapons duels go through my head, and you never will, as most of them I've forgotten instead of putting them to text
]
The main part of all this thinking.. Is the mental strength to actually make time to GET IT DOWN. I’ll get ideas.. More ideas.. And then finally.. Oh hey, I should go post this.
Week later.. No post. Oops, got sidetracked with …
Yeah, that happens a lot. About time that ADD I was diagnosed with finally kicks in -_-

I just read my blog post back to myself. Thanks to my lovely off-the-thought typing style, I don’t really care about the grammar, mostly the spelling.. And if spelling is bad it’s because my keyboard decides to lock a button. You can make the screen bigger if you need to, I can think of two ways to do it..

I used to post in word and then cut and paste and not knowing about codes, my posts looked funky. But I needed time to figure out what I wanted to say and Word was sop familiar.I think I was afraid of Wordpress.
Then I tried writing in Word and then printing and re-typing in Wordpress. This fixed the spacing issue, but can you imagine the time?
Now I just post in Wordpress. It really is so easy AND you can still save your drafts and check your spelling. Plus your spacing looks normal.
Hope you’re feeling better.

Okay – I tagged you for a meme, which means you have to list seven of your personality traits (don’t worry about tagging seven other bloggers, I know you’re new). But see if you can do it in Wordpress.

Madre,
Press the ctrl and then push the + symbol to get the screen to zoom in. That’s what I do since some of my genius classmates copy and paste size 6 font onto the discussion board and I’m an old timer in the class, need the big font. Also, why can’t you write it in wordpress, copy it all, throw it ino word spell check the thing and correct it then do all your fun uncoding things with it? Not sure if that suggestion helps, I work with food and teeth…not gadgets.
love,

So I take it that you post right into Wordpress? The screen is too small for me, I actually want to see what I’m writing. And then there’s the spell-check and grammar issues…

ARGH, a meme. What’s a meme? First did the research then started thinking about the personality traits and well…you can see how far I’ve gotten. But I am feeling better and once I get back from Seattle this newbie will master the meme!

I like that tip, thanks! I had no idea you were reading my blog. Oh boy.
Wordpress has a teeny tiny little box to post in. If you’re only going to post a couple of sentences, it works.
But for people like me who blab on forever and then forget what they said, the constant scrolling up and down to remember my train of thought can cause a perfectly good post to go up in smoke
out my ears…
See you tomorrow!
