My son, the genius

I’m just cracking up at my kid. And beating my head against a wall at the same time.  Got that visual? That would explain the two black eyes I’ve been sporting for the past week or so.

Anyhow, #1 son lost his job, oh gosh, about four months ago. He was working at Target. He has been unable to find another job, in part because it’s really outside of his comfort zone.

Pretty much everyone in his universe has been trying to help him find a job. I’ll leave it at that.

In the meantime he has to live, right? Pay expenses, go to movies, buy junk food at the local gas station and all that.  Oh and get a charger for his cell phone.

Just check out this post from the boy:  http://strangerhappenings.wordpress.com (he has since deleted the specific  post, but he had put up a “PayPal donation” badge. I laughed so hard I snorted (which hurts because in order to have two black eyes, you must have hit your nose. I have that on good authority).

He is very creative when it comes to finding ways to make money as long as it doesn’t involve actual work.

You can ask the hiatts if you want, I’ve been doing my best to try and find a job. I go down to the mall almost daily to apply at places I haven’t applied at you, and sometimes to check in on places I have already applied at..

    Whatever..

I’ll take a look at your resume and we’ll check out your interview techniques. Maybe set your alarm clock? You can only do your best.

My phone is my alarm clock. Hrm.. I seem to be missing an alarm clock.. My resume was created again by Mrs. Hiatt, who does the job interviews for her company and has been redoing and reviewing resumes for both Chris and her husband for the past.. What was it.. 10 years? 15? I don’t know. And I haven’t even gotten an interview yet =/ Two more weeks until most places start seasonal hiring, gotta hope i can last til then.

I had the best laugh over your son’s situation. Our son finally found a job but only part-time 4:00am-8:00am and is living at home and we are footing the bill. We have heard every excuse in the book however, your son’s (DONATE) is something he hasn’t tried. Very creative. Fun to read

I’ve tried everything I can to get money. I’ve sold books I don’t read anymore, books I do read, trying to sell my WoW account, donating blood.. All of this on top of trying to find a job wherever I can. It’s as simple as people not hiring for seasonal yet. =/ I’d be happy with working just one day a week at minimum wage, simply because it’s -something-.
