On the road again…

Not that San Diego (78 degrees and sunny)  isn’t nice, but we’re homesick. So John and I are heading back up to Seattle (59 degrees and raining) for the weekend. It’s youngest daughter’s birthday and middle son needs to get slapped around a bit (see previous post). Oldest daughter and I need to chat…in the incredibly relaxing atmosphere of the bathhouse I’m pretty damn sure we’ll talk nice…so we’re traveling yet again.

However, last week I went on a jaunt with da hubby since he had to travel for work (this job is right up there with his last one for travel.  But it might get better. I’ve got my fingers crossed) and while he was out working my face made significant contact with the hotel room wall.

I am uncertain as to how this occured as the ONLY thing I remember is laying on the floor with this really cute guy in fire fighting gear in my face asking me what my name was. Too early for Halloween and it’s been years since I’ve been in the dating scene.

I must have knocked myself silly. The only reason I’m mentioning this is because, as I said, it’s only been a week since that happened.

Nothing like going home to visit family and friends looking like someone got ahold of a sharpie and drew little halfmoons under my eyes. Attractive!

Thinking about you — wondering if you’re okay over here….

I am doing better than I was. But there seems to be a side of me that’s afraid to post. My memory is shot, so I repeat myself, sometimes I post things that shouldn’t be posted.

There’s a lot of damage to my cognitive processes that has not investigated…with the exception that they’re pretty sure that I probably, most likely, don’t have dementia. Possibly.

So it’s a hard row to hoe and I’ve been wussing out. Thank you for encouraging me and I’ll see if I can’t get back at it soon…
